Learning together.

You may be a parent recently relocated to Canada, you may be a minority who has always lived in Canada, or you may be a new parent who has lived in Canada your whole life and seeking the information you need to parent within the Canadian Laws - then you may be interested in attending a FREE parenting workshop in your community.

We acknowledge that there’s a multitude of parenting styles and strategies in Canada, in addition - if you’re new to Canada you’re also bringing with you an understanding of a parenting style you’ve learned from your previous experiences. Along with the natural challenges of navigating parenting and the possible addition of being immersed in a new culture and community - learning what it expected of parents in your new setting can feel overwhelming.

The workshops provided by this partnership group* are intended to assist anyone within the Canadian context to better understand the Canadian expectations and laws that are present for Child Safety and wellbeing.

Ultimately, what was safe for your child in your previous location may not be considered safe or appropriate within the Canadian context.

We believe that you want the best for your children. You desire to see them healthy, happy, and thriving. We hope that these workshops will help you feel confident in how you provide care and safety to your children in Canada.

* workshops have been developed and tested by Conversation Cafe (Bethesda Church) and Daybreak Parent Child Centre.
